Your Reception Staff
At your disposal: experienced, knowledgeable and attentive Mitchell’s event teams. They double as your courteous diplomats who are able to handle any situation with poise. We can provide all of the appropriate service, culinary, and support staff necessary to assure flawless attention to the important choices you’ve made for your special day. As always, our Wedding Coordinators will make recommendations as to service styles while taking all other aspects of your reception into account.

Your Reception Style
Seated dining with table service is often the perfect complement to a formal wedding. Perhaps something a bit more casual would suit your taste in the form of a themed buffet; passed hors d'oeuvres service will often give your reception a casual sense of sociability. There's a style to suit virtually every taste and budget. Before you decide what's right for you, consider the options:

A seated dinner is best for a more formal wedding. Courses are selected by you, of course, and served by our staff.  Or, you might choose to offer your guests a choice of entree.  Our Wedding Coordinator can describe and recommend a style that seems right to you.

Buffet style is somewhat less formal and this reception has special appeal because your guests have more dining options. And, a buffet tends to create a more casual, sociable spirit.

Station/Buffet style food stations offer guests a way to customize their dining with a wide variety of choices. This relaxed reception may feature regional cuisine with themes and props to create its own festive showcase.

Progressive formats allow an attractive balance between buffet and seated dining, by offering full table service for the first course and dessert, and a buffet for the main course.  This is a splendid option if you desire formal elements mingled with informal meeting and greeting.

A Cocktails and Hors d’oeuvre menu evokes a highly social reception style which encourages guests to mix at ease, while enjoying a variety of hot and selections. Tuxedoed waiters carry silver trays lavished with hors d’oeuvres, garnished with flowers, while tending to your guests' every need.

Specialty styles are wide-open and often focus on one course of a complete menu. Spectacular desserts or sweet buffets are often paired with cappuccino, espresso, and champagne. Themed sweet or savory menus range from classical to contemporary, regional to international, and nostalgic to cutting-edge concepts.

The overall look and feel of your reception is as important as your menu. Our professional Wedding Coordinators will help you to visualize the styled wedding reception you’d always imagined. Every detail from flowers, flatware and linens will be discussed to ensure that your expectations are fulfilled. Whether your preference is traditional elegance or sleek and contemporary, we will design a reception that is uniquely you.

Table Settings & Designs
We also offer beautiful selections and patterns of china, glassware, silver, linens and service ware from which to choose. This gives you a rainbow of styles and designs that act as décor on their own.
